Pay rate – £37.66 per hour Contract – Temporary Durham County Council are currently recruiting an experienced children’s Team Manager for their First Contact/MASH team. The team is the first point of contact for new contacts about children, young people and their families in Durham. The MASH supports local safeguarding partners to share information and work together. listening and responding to staff and partners at all levels and from a range of different professional backgrounds interpreting information, data and intelligence communicating and giving feedback making informed and evidence-based decisions creating a positive interface for all MASH practitioners and partners keeping pace in a fast-moving multi-agency environment adhering to strict timescales To undertake this role, you must be confident in risk identification and response, and a skilled decision-maker, experienced in child protection social work. You must be a nurturing and encouraging manager able to support a team through a period of change. You will be supported to manage the team of social workers and first contact officers by 3 social work consultants. Children’s Social Workers will need at least 3 years’ permanent experience with an English local authority and to be registered with Social Work England, as per DfE rules.
