Join our team as a skilled and experienced CNC Machinist, where you will set up and operate a variety of machine tools to produce precision parts. In this role, you will collaborate closely with production and engineering teams to ensure the highest quality standards are met. How You’ll Make an Impact
1. You will set up and operate CNC machinery, ensuring precision in every part produced.
2. Read and interpret engineering drawings, layouts, and specifications to determine machining operations effectively.
3. Measure and visually inspect completed parts to detect defects and ensure conformance to manufacturing documentation.
4. Perform routine maintenance on machines and equipment to guarantee optimal performance and longevity.
5. Collaborate with production and engineering teams to troubleshoot and resolve machining issues promptly.
6. Maintain a clean and organized work area, adhering to health and safety procedures to promote a safe working environment.
7. Document and report production data, including quantities, dimensions, and any deviations from specifications, ensuring transparency and accuracy.
What You Bring
8. Ideally, you have completed a recognized full level 3 apprenticeship; candidates with an NVQ level 3 or technical certificate in a relevant engineering field will also be considered.
9. Proven experience as a CNC machinist in a manufacturing environment, showcasing your technical skills.
10. Proficiency in operating machine tools such as lathes, borers, and grinders, demonstrating your hands-on expertise.
11. Flexibility to work shifts and overtime as required, adapting to the needs of the production schedule.
12. Strong understanding of engineering drawings and specifications, allowing you to execute tasks with precision.
13. Excellent attention to detail and accuracy in measurements, ensuring the highest quality output.
14. Good communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams, fostering a positive work environment.
15. Computer skills for documentation and reporting purposes, enabling efficient tracking of production data.
