Barden is proud to be partnering with a leading global organisation in the digital technology space to identify a Manager - IT Project controls, with a key focus on providing independent oversight and assurance across a major global finance transformation programme.
We’re looking to speak with professionals who specialise in programme assurance and change governance - those who can ensure that large-scale change initiatives meet the highest standards of control, risk management, and compliance. This role will focus on ensuring that the right controls, frameworks, and stakeholder engagement are embedded and operating effectively across finance-impacting initiatives.
ABOUT THE ROLE:
* Provide independent oversight and assurance over the IT elements of a global finance transformation programme, ensuring adherence to change control and governance frameworks.
* Monitor, test, and report on programme compliance with internal controls, highlighting control gaps or areas of non-compliance.
* Support the design and embedding of sustainable IT change control processes across finance-impacting initiatives.
* Develop clear documentation and audit trails for IT programme and change controls, ensuring full traceability and accountability.
* Engage with internal stakeholders (IT, Finance, Risk, Controls) to ensure appropriate input, ownership, and challenge across the transformation lifecycle.
* Prepare assurance updates and risk-based reporting for senior leadership, outlining control performance, risks, and remediation plans.
* Collaborate with internal and external auditors as needed, providing evidence and insight into programme assurance activity.
ABOUT THE PERSON:
* Experienced in project assurance, IT controls assurance, or programme governance – ideally within large, complex organisations.
* Strong understanding of change control frameworks - ICFR/SOX compliance would be advantageous.
* Able to interpret and apply policy and regulatory standards within a programme context, ensuring practical and effective control environments.
* Comfortable working across global teams, with strong influencing and communication skills at senior stakeholder level.
* Ideally has experience with major transformation programmes (e.g., ERP, GRC, finance systems) where assurance and governance were key to success.
* Qualifications in audit, controls, project assurance or technology (e.g., CISA, ACA, PMP) are advantageous.
This is a permanent role and is hybrid working based in their London offices - 2/3 days a week.
