Job Title: Compensation Manager – Revenue Operations

Role Overview

The Compensation Planner is responsible for designing, implementing, and managing sales compensation plans that align with organizational goals. This role ensures accurate quota-setting, incentive calculations, and compliance with governance policies while providing actionable insights to optimize compensation strategies.

Key Responsibilities

1. Plan Design & Implementation

2. Develop and maintain sales compensation plans that motivate performance and align with business objectives.

Translate high-level compensation frameworks into actionable quota files and compensation letters for sales teams.

3. Quota & Incentive Management

4. Support annual and quarterly quota-setting processes.

Validate incentive calculations and oversee commission deliverables for timely and accurate payouts.

5. Data Analysis & Reporting

6. Analyze sales performance data to assess plan effectiveness.

Prepare reports and dashboards for leadership on attainment, payouts, and trends.

7. Compliance & Governance

8. Ensure adherence to audit requirements and governance policies.

Maintain accurate documentation of plan rules, eligibility criteria, and payout structures.

9. Stakeholder Collaboration

10. Partner with Revenue Operations, Finance, and HR to ensure smooth execution of compensation processes.

Communicate plan details and provide training to stakeholders.

Required Skills & Qualifications

11. Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, Economics, or related field.

12. 4–6 years of experience in sales compensation planning or sales operations.

13. Advanced analytical skills with expertise in Excel and financial modeling.

14. Proficiency in Salesforce and incentive management platforms (e.g., Xactly).

15. Strong organizational and communication skills; ability to manage multiple priorities.

16. Familiarity with BI tools (Tableau, Power BI) is a plus.
