Our client, based in Coventry, is currently recruiting for a Corporate Credit Manager on a permanent contract.
The position is due to start as soon as possible, dependent on notice and the salary available is £45,000 - £50,000. This is a hybrid position with travel to the office required two days per week and our client is proud to offer some great benefits including a generous company car scheme, 25 days annual leave and an annual bonus.
Duties will include (but are not limited to):
1. Reviewing financial statements, credit reports, and payment history to evaluate the risk of extending credit to new or existing customers
2. Establishing and enforcing credit limits for new and existing customers within agreed mandates
3. Annually managing and reviewing all corporate customers to ensure compliance with credit policies
4. Preparing and finalising credit dossiers for submission to higher level approvers such as Credit Committees at local and HQ levels
5. Working with other business areas such as Sales and Finance to produce detailed credit dossiers
6. Chairperson for the weekly corporate underwriting meeting involving other stakeholders in the business such as sales director, head of direct sales, head of indirect sales
7. Ensuring Credit Underwriting Guidelines are followed including KYC and AML
8. Monitor and manage credit limits and exposures to minimise risk while supporting business growth
Skills, knowledge and expertise required:
9. 3+ years' corporate credit evaluation role, with a personal mandate to approve credit limits ideally in automotive or consumer finance
10. Corporate credit management or a similar financial role, with commercial credit underwriting experience preferred
11. Familiarity with UK/FCA regulations and best practices in credit-risk management
