ASN Primary Teacher
We are seeking an experienced and dedicated teacher to join our team at Maben House, part of Options Autism. The ideal candidate will be passionate about delivering a tailored, pupil-centred learning experience that promotes academic progress and emotional development.
The ASN Primary Teacher will work closely with a skilled multi-disciplinary team to support each pupil's unique needs and help them reach their full potential.
Key Responsibilities:
* Deliver high-quality, individualised teaching across all primary subjects
* Plan and adapt lessons to meet diverse learning needs and Education Plans (EHCPs / Child's Plan)
* Use trauma-informed and autism-friendly approaches to support engagement and progress
* Set and maintain high expectations for learning, behaviour, and wellbeing
* Track and assess academic and personal development in a meaningful, pupil-centred way
* Collaborate with therapists, families, and support staff to achieve joined-up support for each pupil
* Create a safe, structured, and supportive learning environment
* Support the wider school curriculum through enrichment, outdoor learning, or thematic teaching
Required Skills and Qualifications:
* Full GTCS registration
* Experienced or confident in teaching pupils with autism and complex learning needs
* Skilled at planning and differentiating learning to meet a range of abilities
* Calm, resilient, and proactive in managing behaviour and building relationships
* Committed to promoting inclusion, safety, and wellbeing at the heart of classroom practice
* An excellent communicator and team player
