To continue our rapid expansion, we are now looking for a passionate and established sales professional to join us as a Senior Account Manager. Reporting into our Sales Manager Account Management, you will play an integral part of developing and maintaining an opportunity pipeline, through maintaining relationships with existing accounts and developing new business via cross and up sales. Our solutions deliver value to many of the UK’s leading grocery retailers and food logistics providers as well as to household names including JCB, Eddie Stobart, Carlsberg, Waitrose, and Royal Mail.

What you will be doing
* Achievement of individual and team-based targets in terms of profitability on a quarter-by-quarter basis.
* Generation and conversion of sales leads into profitable business, ensuring both revenue and profit margin are maximised.
* Conduct an average of four face-to-face meetings with customers per week plus additional sales calls weekly.
* Ensure Microlise is invited to bid for all work opportunities in areas where we have competency, within existing accounts.
* Manage several existing accounts to maintain high customer satisfaction and maximise cross-sell/upsell opportunities.
* Undertake sales briefings, seminars, and other events to support pipeline development.
* Provide expert advice to business prospects across the Product Portfolio.
* Maintain personal professional development with knowledge of key business areas and technical developments, including sales techniques in transport, supply chain and mobile solutions.
* Provide timely and clear quotations and proposals to customers.
* Use the company price book and sales collateral effectively and accurately.
* Ensure discounts are approved in writing by the appropriate senior manager.
What we are looking for
* Demonstrable experience within a Customer Account Manager role.
* Proven track record in hardware, software, and IT sales.
* Aptitude for understanding how technology products and solutions solve business problems.
* Excellent communication and negotiation skills, both internal and external, building trust and relationships quickly.
* Strong commercial knowledge of sectors including transport, logistics, retail, automotive and distribution.
* Ability to work on own initiative with minimal supervision.
* Well organised with the ability to prioritise appropriately.
* Flexibility to travel across the UK and internationally as required and a full driving license.
