The Role:
As a Maintenance Engineer with welding experience, you'll play a vital part in our operations. Your primary responsibilities will include performing both preventative and reactive maintenance on a wide range of machinery and equipment. A key aspect of this role is using your welding expertise to repair, fabricate, and modify parts to keep our production lines running smoothly.
Key Responsibilities:
* Perform routine preventative maintenance on all plant machinery and equipment to minimize downtime.
* Diagnose and troubleshoot mechanical and electrical faults efficiently.
* Execute welding repairs on various materials (e.g., steel, aluminium) using different techniques (e.g., MIG, TIG, Stick) to fix damaged components.
* Fabricate new parts and modify existing equipment as needed to improve performance or address specific issues.
* Collaborate with the production team to schedule maintenance and repairs to limit disruption.
* Maintain accurate records of all maintenance activities, repairs, and parts used.
* Adhere to all health and safety regulations and company policies, ensuring a safe working environment at all times.
Qualifications:
* Proven experience as a Maintenance Engineer or a similar role in a [e.g., manufacturing, industrial] environment.
* Strong mechanical and electrical aptitude with the ability to read technical drawings and schematics.
* Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work under pressure.
* Self-motivated with a strong commitment to quality and safety.
* Experience with mention specific equipment or systems, e.g., PLC systems, hydraulic machinery, pneumatic systems is a plus.

Pay: £38,000.00-£42,000.00 per year
