We are seeking a Trustee with HR (Human Resources) experience to help us improve our governance as a Board. This role is important as our charity now has more staff and volunteers.

What are we looking for?
* Kind, respectful, and dedicated individuals supporting our diverse Board.
* Experience working in a Human Resources role.
* Chartered Institute of Personnel and Development (CIPD) qualification or working towards it.
* Good knowledge of employment law, policy, and practice, with the ability to stay updated on HR developments.

What will you be doing?
* Helping ensure HR work at People First Forum follows the law and best practices.
* Reviewing and suggesting plans for staff recruitment, training, and support.
* Keeping the board informed about HR responsibilities.
* Developing long-term staffing plans.
* Ensuring HR actions align with the charity’s mission and values.
Our Board includes people with and without learning disabilities, emphasizing inclusivity and diverse perspectives. No prior governance or experience working with disabilities is required; training will be provided.
