Were looking for a passionate Childrens Palliative Care Support Worker to join our dedicated community team and provide high quality individual support to a child and their family both at their home and in the hospice. You will provide comfort and care to support our younger patients and make a difference when it matters the most.
Key Responsibilities:
* Provide patient centred personal and clinical care and support of children and young people with complex needs in accordance with the care plan in a range of settings
* Deliver a high standard of specialist palliative care in partnership with other professionals
* Provide an empathetic and supportive presence for families and refer to appropriate services as needed
* To act as an advocate for children and their families
* Engage the patient with a range of activities that meets their needs
What were looking for:
* Previous work or personal experience in caring for children with complex health needs
* Excellent verbal and written communication skills
* Strong understanding of safeguarding children
* Ability to work unsupervised with shifting priorities and organise own workload
* NVQ Trained to level 2
* Full UK driving licence
