Overview
We are seeking a skilled and passionate Butcher to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of food safety and culinary practices, with experience in food production and preparation. As a Butcher, you will play a vital role in ensuring the quality and presentation of our meat products, contributing to the overall success of our kitchen or restaurant environment.
Duties
* Prepare and cut various types of meat according to specifications, ensuring high standards of quality and presentation.
* Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the work area, adhering to food safety regulations at all times.
* Operate and maintain butchery equipment safely and effectively.
* Assist in inventory management, including ordering supplies and monitoring stock levels.
* Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure timely delivery of meat products for menu items.
* Provide excellent customer service by answering queries related to meat cuts and preparation methods.
Skills
* Strong knowledge of food safety practices and regulations.
* Proficient in culinary techniques related to butchery, including cutting, trimming, and marinating meat.
* Experience in food production within a kitchen or restaurant setting is highly desirable.
* Ability to work efficiently under pressure while maintaining attention to detail.
