Salary: £16,228 - £22,630 (actual salary for 18 hours per week, 52 weeks per year)
Contract Type: Part-Time, Permanent
Working Pattern: Ideally Monday, Tuesday & Wednesday mornings (flexible)

About the Role
We are recruiting on behalf of a FE College for an enthusiastic and skilled Lecturer in Electromechanical Engineering to join their successful Engineering team. This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced professional to shape the next generation of engineers while enjoying excellent work-life balance with a part-time schedule.
The Electrical/Electronic and Mechanical Engineering School at the college provides students with industry-relevant knowledge and skills, creating pathways to successful careers, apprenticeships, and Higher Education progression.
Key Responsibilities
1. Deliver high-quality teaching across a comprehensive range of engineering courses from Level 1 to Level 5
2. Teach across multiple qualification frameworks including: EAL/City & Guilds certifications BTEC Foundation courses Diplomas and Extended Diplomas T Levels Higher National Certificates and Diplomas in Electrical/Electronic and Mechanical Engineering
3. Engage and motivate learners aged 16-19+ through innovative teaching methods
4. Adapt teaching approaches to suit different age groups and learning styles
5. Utilize workshop facilities including lathes, electronics test equipment, and mechanical testing apparatus
6. Support student achievement and progression pathways
7. Contribute to curriculum development and quality assurance processes
What We're Looking For
Essential Qualifications
8. Degree in Electrical/Electronic Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or related field
9. GCSE English and Mathematics at Grade C/4 or equivalent (or willingness to achieve)
10. Level 5 teaching qualification for the FE sector (PGCE, DET) or commitment to obtain one
11. Assessor award (CAVA or equivalent) or willingness to undertake training
Experience Required
12. Up-to-date knowledge in electromechanical engineering subjects
13. Proven teaching/training experience in the engineering field
14. Practical industry experience in electromechanical engineering
15. Hands-on workshop experience with engineering equipment and testing apparatus
16. Experience teaching both electrical/electronic and mechanical engineering subjects
