Engineering Manager
Location: Kent
Salary: £62,800
Monday – Friday | 8:30am – 5:00pm
A well-established international FMCG manufacturing business is looking to appoint an Engineering Manager to lead engineering operations at their production site in Kent.

The Role
As Engineering Manager, you will be responsible for engineering, maintenance, utilities, and site improvement projects, ensuring equipment reliability and operational efficiency across the site.
You’ll work closely with the Site General Manager to support operational performance, lead improvement initiatives, and maintain high standards of safety and compliance.
Alongside the technical responsibilities, you will also lead the site’s Health, Safety, and Environmental activities, ensuring compliance with UK regulatory requirements.
Key Responsibilities
* Lead and support a small engineering team (3 engineers and 1 HSE coordinator)
* Manage all engineering, maintenance, and utilities activities across the site
* Drive improvements in reliability, uptime, and maintenance performance
* Monitor and report on engineering KPIs
* Deliver engineering projects and support CAPEX improvements
* Ensure full compliance with UK health, safety, and food manufacturing regulations
* Promote a strong safety culture and deliver toolbox talks
* Manage contractors and site engineering work
* Maintain engineering systems including CMMS and maintenance reporting
What We’re Looking For
* Experience within food, beverage, or FMCG manufacturing
* Leadership experience as an Engineering Manager or Engineering Team Leader ready to step up
* Strong understanding of Health and Safety in a Manufacturing environment
* Knowledge of CMMS maintenance systems
* Strong problem-solving and continuous improvement mindset
