Life on the team
Join our Enterprise Team at Computacenter and play a key role in supporting our Managed Service customers. As an experienced Platform (Unix) Administrator, you'll work in a dynamic environment managing critical infrastructure built for high availability and performance. You'll be responsible for day-to-day Unix administration, installations, backup and recovery, and project delivery, while also providing out-of-hours support on a rota basis.

What You'll Do
* Deliver high-quality technical support and project work across RHEL, Oracle Linux, and other Unix environments
* Collaborate with Architecture and Engineering teams on design and implementation
* Provide technical break/fix support, including 24/7 on-call rota participation
* Mentor junior team members and share knowledge to drive continuous improvement
* Ensure compliance with IT methodologies and proactively manage risks and issues
* Complete regular administration tasks and maintain service levels
What you'll need
* Expert knowledge of Unix administration (RHEL & Oracle Linux)
* Familiarity with Ansible, Podman, Docker, and Azure
* Experience with high availability systems and replication
* Knowledge of Oracle middleware, databases, and backup/recovery tools (NetBackup/Veeam)
* Understanding of ITIL v4, ISO 20000, and ISO 27000 standards
* Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills
* Ability to work independently and collaboratively across multiple geographies
