Salary: Circa £35,000 - £40,000 depending on experience
Dynamic (hybrid) working: Minimum 2 days per week on-site due to workload classification
Security Clearance: British Citizen or Dual UK national. HMG Basic Personnel Security Standard checks (BPSS) required.

The opportunity
As the Senior Buyer, you will be responsible for leading procurement activities and supporting the Lead Buyer. Working with Category Manager, Supply Chain Manager, and Supplier Planner, you'll ensure operational activities align with procurement excellence. You will maintain strong supplier relationships to meet development and production needs, in a dynamic team environment requiring stakeholder management and strategic sourcing.
Main Responsibilities
* Forecasting: Use MRP/SAP data to identify and communicate planned demand, make sourcing decisions.
* Sourcing & Contracting: Own or support Lead Buyer with source to pay activities, align to English law and best practice.
* Risk and Issue Management: Identify supplier risks, manage and communicate to stakeholders.
* Continuous Improvement: Support transversal improvement initiatives.
* Supplier performance: Drive sustainable supplier performance and improvement activities.
* Cost Governance: Maintain savings register, highlight cost savings.
* System Topicality: Ensure material master and purchase info records are up-to-date.
What we're looking for
You will have excellent procurement experience, be a team player, and capable of leading in your category. Strong communication, negotiation, analytical, linking with stakeholders, and stakeholder influence skills.
* Procurement/Supply Chain experience with full cycle management.
* Strong contracting experience.
* Commercial and financial understanding.
* Excellent communication at all levels.
* Excellent negotiation and influencing skills.
* High computer literacy, proficient Microsoft Office.
* Chips level 4 or HNC/HND in Business Studies desirable.
