Our client is seeking an experienced High Voltage Technician to join their Asset Management function. This is a hands-on operational role involving HV switching, contractor supervision, inspections, and planned maintenance of onshore and offshore assets.

Key Responsibilities
1. Ensure Health, Safety & Environmental compliance during all site activities
2. Supervise contractors and sub-contractors on-site
3. Maintain up-to-date knowledge of the company’s Electrical Safety Rules
4. Conduct planned and unplanned inspections of offshore and onshore assets
5. Carry out HV Switching as an Authorised Person
6. Perform minor fault-finding and electrical installation work
7. Support development of asset and maintenance policies
8. Prepare regular operational reports
9. Assist in contingency planning
Essential Requirements
10. Qualified to technician level in an electrical discipline (ONC / NVQ L3)
11. 5+ years’ experience in the UK electricity supply industry or offshore wind industry
12. Strong understanding of health & safety legislation
13. Proven experience with high-voltage electrical systems, plant, and equipment
14. Experience supervising contractors
15. Ability to hold operational authorisations at the required level
16. GWO offshore certification (or ability to obtain – training provided)
17. IOSH/NEBOSH certification (advantageous)

Location & Travel
Candidates should be within a 60–90 minute operational response distance of Beatrice onshore substation (near Keith) and Moray East onshore substation (near New Deer). Travel to other UK sites will be required, with expenses covered in line with company policy.
