Job Title: Kitchen Assistant at HC-One
In your role as a Kitchen Assistant at HC-One, you'll value one thing above all: kindness. It influences every aspect of our care homes, including Dementia, Nursing, Residential, and Specialist care. Responsibilities
1. Help prepare and serve nutritious, healthy meals loved by residents.
2. Maintain high standards of cleanliness, food safety, and hygiene.
3. Manage food supplies and monitor fridge/freezer temperatures.
4. Assist new starters with equipment use and ensure cleanliness, including cleaning ovens.
5. Always prioritize resident wellbeing in your tasks.
Qualifications and Skills
* Some kitchen experience preferred.
* NVQ Level 2 in Catering or Food Preparation, or willingness to study for it.
* Strong record-keeping and organizational skills.
* Ability to follow recipes accurately.
* Kind and considerate communication with residents and colleagues.
Safeguarding
All staff must recognize signs of abuse, harm, or neglect, and know how to respond. Attendance at safeguarding training is mandatory, along with ongoing education in related areas. Ability to seek advice and escalate concerns appropriately is essential.
