As part of our small team, you’ll support our Welcome & Service and Visitor Experience teams to ensure everyone enjoys their day with us. You’ll move across the site as needed—working with our volunteer harbourmasters, providing cover in visitor reception and helping visitors make the most of their visit. You’ll gain a range of skills and play an important role in creating a positive, accessible experience for all. A key part of your role is supporting colleagues wherever you’re needed, with a focus on welcoming visitors and helping them access our boats. Each day will be different. You’ll meet a wide range of people and gain experience across several visitor areas. Your tasks will include greeting visitors, working alongside our volunteer harbourmasters and helping introduce people to the boats. You’ll also help care for the boats through cleaning, maintenance and preparation. Staying connected with the wider team will help you keep up with daily plans, and you’ll play an important part in ensuring things run smoothly and safely by learning our health and safety and evacuation procedures.
