About the Company
MBN Solutions are proud to be partnered with a Tech for Good company who are looking for a Data & BI Specialist to join their growing team to take ownership of the full data lifecycle & contribute to longer-term data architecture.
About the Role
We are looking for a hands-on, driven data professional to join a growing team at a pivotal stage of its data journey. We’re seeking a well-rounded Data & BI Specialist who can immediately contribute to the current Microsoft Azure/Fabric environment, while having the opportunity to shape the longer-term data architecture.
You’ll work across the full data lifecycle, including: ingesting & integrating external data sources, maintaining and building out scalable pipelines, and supporting decision-making through development of effective & efficient dashboards within Power BI. There is a massive opportunity to influence and lead the evolution of the data platform over time, potentially within a non-MS based platform.
This role is perfect for someone eager to learn, grow and take ownership in a collaborative and fast-moving environment. Within this role, you would focus on:
* Maintaining, developing, and optimising current data pipelines and architecture within MS Azure/Fabric.
* Ingesting and integrating data from external sources efficiently and securely.
* Supporting and enhancing existing Power BI dashboard with an eye for usability and clarity.
* Translating business questions into data-driven insights to support better decision-making.
* Contributing to longer-term architectural discussions, including the potential transition to a non-Microsoft platform.
* Working closely with analysts and business stakeholders to understand data needs and delivering pragmatic solutions.
* Contributing to project planning and stakeholder communication as needed.
What we’re looking for:
* Proven experience in cloud data architecture, ideally within Microsoft Azure and/or Microsoft Fabric.
* A practical understanding of data-driven decision-making and how to support it.
* Someone who is pragmatic, proactive, and results-orientated.
* Experience building & maintain data pipelines and ETL processes.
* Competence in developing or improving reporting UI/UX, particularly in Power BI.
* An interest in evolving platforms, with an eye to future scalable, code-first solutions.
* Experience or exposure to data governance, security, or integration best practices is a plus.
* Stakeholder engagement/project management experience would be desirable.
