Main duties of the job
You will work across neighbourhood and nursing services, AHP‑led and specialist services, and urgent care services within Manchester and Trafford. The role includes following established SPOA and Local Care Organisation (LCO) referral pathways, liaising with clinicians, patients, carers, and a wide range of stakeholders, and ensuring all referrals are managed efficiently from receipt to appointment booking.
Qualifications
* Good standard of numeracy and literacy.
* Evidence of recent further development / training to NVQ 3 level.
* IT qualification or equivalent.
Skills and Knowledge
* Able to deal confidently and professionally with all members of the MDT, resolving queries and progress chasing
* Ability to analyse information to resolve problems
* Good organisational skills.
* Excellent communications skills.
* Well‑developed negotiating and motivating skills.
* Experience of servicing meetings and taking minutes.
* Ability to utilise a range of IT programmes, including Microsoft Office Suite including knowledge of Microsoft Access and PowerPoint.
* Knowledge of the Health Service.
* Knowledge of Patient Administration systems e.g. EMIS/HIVE.
Experience
* Demonstrable experience of working within an office environment
* Experience of working with the NHS in a support role.

* Ability to work as part of a team as well as on own initiative.
* Adaptable with a flexible approach to work and working hours.
* Willingness to work flexibly at various locations in the service.
* Ability to travel between various locations in the community.
* Recognition of own limitations/flexibility.
