Hybrid Working: 3 days a week office - 2 days home
The Role
As Payroll Specialist, you will be responsible for the accurate and timely processing of end-to-end payroll for a large employee population. This role requires someone who is hands‑on, detail‑oriented, and comfortable managing the full payroll lifecycle.
Key responsibilities will include:
* Managing end-to-end payroll processing for 500+ employees
* Ensuring payroll is processed accurately and within strict deadlines
* Handling payroll queries from employees and internal stakeholders
* Processing statutory payments, deductions, and pension contributions
* Supporting payroll reconciliations and reporting activities
* Assisting with payroll compliance and ensuring adherence to current legislation
* Processing BACS payments where applicable
* Supporting continuous improvements within payroll processes and systems
About You
* Proven experience independently processing payroll for 500+ employees
* Strong end-to-end payroll experience (essential)
* Experience processing BACS payments (advantageous)
* A background working within smaller or medium-sized payroll teams where you have managed the full payroll cycle
* Strong technical payroll knowledge and excellent attention to detail
* A proactive, ambitious, and reliable approach
* The confidence to work independently while also contributing positively to a team environment
