We design some of the most complex and specialized facilities being constructed today, including semiconductor manufacturing, data centre facilities, and other state-of-the-art manufacturing facilities. The ideal candidate is self-motivated with excellent communication skills and a passion to apply professional experience in a collaborative, technically challenging environment.
Responsibilities
* Develop Piping & Instrument Diagrams (P&ID) following ANSI/ISA S5.1 symbology.
* Perform panel design, including panel layout and wiring diagrams.
* Manage demanding schedules, prepare accurate reports, and demonstrate strong communication skills.
Be accountable for delivering design work on state-of-the-art structures within Advanced Facilities and collaborating with a multi-discipline team across projects.
Qualifications
* Bachelor’s degree in an engineering subject
* At least 8 years of Instrument & Controls (I&C) design experience
* Experience using Revit or AutoCAD
* Able to navigate Navisworks
Ideally, you’ll also have
* Working knowledge of PLC, DCS, and other controls applications
* Piping & Instrument Diagram Development (P&ID) including ANSI/ISA S5.1 symbology
* Knowledge of control systems architecture development, network security systems, motor control and power distribution systems
* Interpret varied instrumentation and engineering diagrams, specifications and schematics
* Control panel design. Knowledge of UL508A requirements for industrial control panels
* Knowledge of instrumentation including temperature, pressure, flow, and analytical instrumentation. Understand the principles of operations, terminology, safety considerations and applications for common analytical instruments
* Knowledge of control valves including valve sizing
* Experience with Revit, BIM360, Navisworks, and AutoCAD
* Strong communication skills both verbal and written
* Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
* Forward thinking, eager to learn best practices, and contribute with innovative ideas
* Ability to learn quickly and broaden knowledge base
* Ability to collaborate and work effectively in a variety of teams, including multi-disciplinary teams
