Salary: £51,500.00 per annum.
Role Summary
We are seeking a Client Services Manager to drive growth and client retention across our consultancy, HR services, and business support functions. The postholder will lead client relationship management, contribute to commercial strategy, oversee service delivery standards, and support marketing and business development activity aligned with business objectives.
Key Responsibilities
The successful candidate will:
* Liaise with the Director and senior management to define and refine the range of consultancy, HR, and business support services offered, including service packaging, pricing, and delivery standards.
* Contribute to sales strategy and target setting, supporting growth plans through measurable targets (lead generation, conversions, renewals, revenue, and retention).
* Engage with clients to identify requirements, scope service needs, and ensure proposals and delivery plans meet expectations.
* Conduct surveys and market research to analyse client feedback and customer reactions to service proposals, pricing, service levels, and promotional activities.
* Compile and analyse sales figures and pipeline data, preparing proposals for targeted marketing campaigns, outreach activity, and business development initiatives.
* Manage key customer accounts, including onboarding, service reviews, renewals, issue resolution, and identifying upsell/cross-sell opportunities.
* Support recruitment and training of junior staff involved in client services/sales administration, ensuring consistent processes and service quality.
* Produce reports and recommendations for senior management on marketing performance, sales activity, service demand trends, and improvement opportunities.
* Build relationships with new and existing clients, supporting negotiations and ensuring contracts/service agreements are documented and delivered to a high standard.
* Keep up to date with competitors and market trends in consultancy, HR outsourcing, and business support services to inform strategy and positioning.
Essential Skills & Experience
* Proven experience in client services, account management, business development, commercial management, or B2B marketing (preferably within consultancy/HR/business support services).
* Ability to lead client relationships and manage multiple accounts and deadlines.
* Experience producing commercial reports, analysing sales/pipeline data, and recommending strategy.
* Strong communication and negotiation skills (written and verbal).
* Confident with CRM systems, MS Office/Google Workspace, and reporting tools.
Qualifications
* Degree (or equivalent) in Business, Marketing and Management or relevant client services experience at managerial level.
