The Role
We are seeking a dynamic and creative Senior Social Media Manager to lead and elevate our social media presence. This pivotal role will develop and execute innovative social media strategies that change the perception of our brand, engage global followers, and win new business.
Job specifics:
* Job type: Full‑time, permanent
* Salary: up to £60,000 per annum
* Working hours: 9:00 am – 5:30 pm, Monday to Friday

Core Responsibilities
* Social strategy & planning: develop, implement, and manage a comprehensive social media strategy aligned with marketing objectives, including audience definition, platform tactics, content pillars, and KPIs.
* Content creation & management: oversee the creation of high‑quality, engaging content across X/Twitter, Instagram, Facebook, TikTok, YouTube, and LinkedIn, managing the calendar and leveraging trends and commercial rights.
* Team leadership & development: lead, mentor and inspire a team of social media executives and content creators, fostering collaboration and high performance.
* Community engagement & growth: develop and implement community strategies, monitor channels for sentiment, engage ambassadors, influencers, and customers, and attract new audiences into the ecosystem.
Deliverables & Accountability
* Growth & KPIs: increase traffic, revenue, and conversion rates of followers into customers.
* Content delivery: ensure seamless, professional delivery of engaging content across all channels.
* Content strategy & planning: define the rationale and meaning behind content.
* Influencer, ambassador, and UGC management.
Required Skills & Experience
* Proven experience developing and executing successful social media strategies with measurable engagement, growth, and commercial outcomes.
* Strong understanding of major platforms, algorithms, best practices, and emerging trends.
* Experience with social media management tools, analytics platforms, and content creation software.
* Passion for sports (preferably endurance sports) and knowledge of the health & fitness industry and sports nutrition science.
Performance Metrics
* Engagement and reach KPIs on a campaign basis.
* Conversion rates of followers into customers and revenue.
* Net Promoter Score and reputational KPIs.
Attributes & Mindset
* Experience managing social media for a high‑profile organization, ideally in sports or health/fitness.
* Excellent written and verbal communication, keen eye for detail.
* Leadership experience, fostering a positive and productive work environment.
* Strong analytical skills, ability to interpret data for strategic decisions.
* Capacity to work under pressure and manage multiple priorities in a fast‑paced environment.
