We are currently working in partnership with a Housing Association who are looking to appoint two Housing Officers on permanent contracts.
Both will be a full-time positions, one based in Leatherhead and the other in Guildford.
The salary for these positions is £35,249 + a car allowance of £3,715.
The ideal candidate will have previous experience in a Housing Officer role and have a full UK Drivers Licence and access to a vehicle.
Duties will include (but are not limited to):
1. Managing tenancies, ensuring compliance with tenancy conditions and taking enforcement action where required (including ASB, tenancy fraud and property issues)
2. Maintaining strong, respectful relationships with residents and leading effective, inclusive resident engagement and participation
3. Carrying out tenancy visits, inspections and audits to maintain high standards in homes and communal areas
4. Triaging and resolving complaints and neighbour disputes, working with partner agencies and pursuing legal action when appropriate
5. Working collaboratively with local authorities and other agencies to support residents, manage safeguarding and address vulnerabilities
6. Supporting tenancy sustainment by providing re-housing advice, income support guidance and signposting to relevant services
Experience required:
7. Understanding of legal processes for dealing with breaches of tenancy
8. Tenancy and neighbourhood management
9. Delivering a front-line service in a related field
