Eleanor Lodge provides exceptional support to adults aged 18 and over who have learning disabilities and mental health issues. Situated in Delapre, Northampton, we offer a welcoming living environment that enhances the quality of life for our customers. In addition to residential care, we provide domiciliary care to adults living in their own homes within the community.
As a Community Support Worker you will act as a key worker for customers, assisting with the provision of positive enabling intervention and support for adults with mental health problems, physical and/or learning disabilities.
What will you be doing?
* Provide practical and emotional support to help individuals maintain independence.
* Assist with daily living activities, including personal care and medication as outlined in care plans.
* Support customers in accessing community resources, services and benefits.
* Work as part of a team managing a small caseload of individuals.
* Contribute to care planning, reviews and accurate record‑keeping.
* Promote wellbeing, safety and independence at all times.
Employment is 18.5 hours per week.
Hours and Shift Patterns
7 am – 3 pm with alternate weekends of 3 pm – 10 pm and 8 am – 3 pm, or 8 am – 3 pm with alternate weekends of 3 pm – 10 pm and 8 am – 3 pm, or 3 pm – 10 pm with alternate weekends of 3 pm – 10 pm and 8 am – 3 pm.
About You
* Understanding of safeguarding and promoting the wellbeing of vulnerable adults.
* Knowledge of safe working practices within care settings.
* Ability to respond appropriately in challenging situations.
* Experience in health or social care.
* NVQ Level 2 in Health & Social Care (or equivalent).
* Basic IT skills (e.g. Office 365).
While not essential, the following would be advantageous:
* Experience supporting individuals with mental health conditions or physical disabilities.
* Working with multi‑agency teams.
* Confidence working independently in a community setting.
* Driving licence with access to a car.
Additional Information
This role is exempt from the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act 1974 and will therefore be subject to an enhanced DBS certificate. It is also a regulated activity and will be subject to a Children and Adults Barred List check.
