Senior Systems Engineer

Role Overview
As a Senior Systems Engineer, you will deliver high-impact systems engineering across a major long-term nuclear programme, leading and directing activities across complex programmes, allocating tasks, mentoring junior engineers, delivering hands-on systems engineering including requirements, architecture, and integration, and leading and contributing to technical and design reviews with key stakeholders.
Day-to-day Responsibilities
* Lead and direct systems engineering activities across complex programmes.
* Allocate tasks and oversee delivery from a team of systems engineers.
* Mentor and support junior engineers to grow capability across the team.
* Deliver hands-on systems engineering including requirements, architecture, and integration.
* Lead and contribute to technical and design reviews with key stakeholders.
Essential Experience
* Strong systems engineering experience across requirements engineering, system architecture, integration, verification and validation.
* Experience leading or mentoring engineers within engineering teams.
* Experience working on complex, multidisciplinary engineering programmes.
* Experience reviewing technical outputs and leading engineering or design reviews.
* Applying full lifecycle systems engineering expertise.
Qualifications
* Degree in Engineering or equivalent experience.
* Chartered Engineer status or working towards chartership (desirable).
Security Clearance
The successful candidate must be able to achieve and maintain Security Check (SC) security clearance for this role.
