The EPQ (Extended Project Qualification) Coordinator manages all aspects of the EPQ program, ensuring student success and supporting supervisors. Responsibilities include project approval, resource management, and administrative duties. The position offers a TLR 2a, £3,391 per annum.
This role is suitable for Teaching Staff and Support Staff. The main purpose is to oversee the entire EPQ program, from student enrollment to project submission.
Key Responsibilities
1. Ensure all students are aware of EPQ requirements and deadlines.
2. Promote the EPQ program internally and externally.
Student Support
1. Provide guidance and support to students throughout the EPQ process.
2. Monitor student progress and identify areas needing additional support.
3. Assist students in developing research, planning, and project construction skills.
Supervisor Oversight
1. Oversee EPQ supervisors, ensuring adherence to best practices.
2. Provide training and support for supervisors.
3. Ensure proper marking standards are maintained.
Administrative Tasks
1. Manage project proposals and approvals.
2. Oversee project submissions to the exam board.
3. Maintain records of student progress and outcomes.
4. Ensure internal deadlines align with AQA deadlines.
5. Coordinate with the examination officer regarding candidate entries.
6. Submit marks to AQA and provide samples for external moderation.
Resource Management
1. Oversee provision and maintenance of learning resources.
2. Manage financial and material resources for the curriculum area.
Communication and Professional Development
1. Communicate effectively with students, supervisors, and stakeholders.
2. Stay updated with developments in the EPQ program.
3. Participate in professional development to enhance skills and knowledge.
