About the Role Reporting to the Curriculum Manager, you’ll play a vital role in developing and delivering an outstanding adult learning curriculum. This includes teaching, mentoring tutors, contributing to quality assurance processes, and supporting curriculum planning and development. The role involves teaching a minimum of 874 hours per academic year, with a flexible working approach including some evenings and occasional weekends. Key Responsibilities Deliver high-quality teaching, learning and assessment across curriculum areas. Support and mentor sessional tutors to ensure high teaching standards and professional development. Lead on internal moderation and assessment of learner work. Contribute to curriculum planning, self-assessment reports, and quality improvement plans. Monitor and improve learner outcomes, retention, and progression. Develop learning materials and maintain up-to-date knowledge of internal and external quality standards (e.g., Ofsted, Matrix). Promote the service and support recruitment and enrolment activities. Take responsibility for a curriculum theme or subject area as directed.We’re looking for an enthusiastic and experienced tutor who: Has substantial experience teaching adults, including unemployed adults and apprentices Can mentor and support staff, and contribute to curriculum development Has experience with Ofsted inspections and internal/external quality assurance Is committed to continuous professional development – both their own and others' Has excellent communication and time management skills Holds a relevant adult teaching qualification (PGCE, Cert Ed, DTTLS) Has or is willing to work towards a UCPD Level 5 qualification in English, Maths, or ESOLDesirable Qualifications Assessor and/or Internal Verifier Award Experience working with employers or external partners UCPD Level 4/5 in English, Maths, or ESOL
