Trainee Assistant Manager
The Diamond Inn is a vibrant village pub in the heart of Ponteland. Were looking for a Trainee Assistant Manager to join our team and grow with us.
About the role: Youll support the day-to-day running of the pub, help lead shifts, and play a key role in maintaining our standards and looking after our customers. This is a hands-on role, ideal for someone with varied bar or hospitality experience whos ready to take the next step in their career.
What were looking for in a Trainee Assistant Manager :
A genuine passion for hospitality
A positive, reliable and team-focused attitude
Strong communication skills and a calm head under pressure, with good time management and multitasking abilities
Willingness to learn and take on responsibility
At least 1 year of experience in a bar or pub, preferably in a supervisory role
Ability to motivate and support a team
Confidence handling customer queries and complaints professionally
Basic understanding of health & safety and licensing regulations (training provided)
Understanding of cellar management desirable

Please note this is a salaried role based on a 40 hour working week. Due to the opening hours of the business, our team enjoy a variety of day and night shifts in their working week.
