About the Role
We are currently recruiting for a compassionate and committed SEN Teaching Assistant to join a welcoming and supportive school in Wythenshawe. This is a full-time role, starting as soon as possible, supporting pupils with a range of special educational needs.
The role will involve working closely with students who require additional support, including personal care, so candidates must be comfortable assisting with these duties in a respectful and dignified manner.

Key Responsibilities
* Provide 1:1 and small group support for pupils with SEN
* Assist with personal care needs, ensuring dignity and safeguarding at all times
* Support students with communication, social interaction, and emotional regulation
* Work collaboratively with teachers and SEN staff to implement individual support plans
* Create a safe, inclusive, and engaging learning environment
* Use effective behaviour management strategies tailored to individual needs

Essential Requirements
* Proven experience working with SEN pupils (essential)
* Comfortable providing personal care
* Strong communication and interpersonal skills
* Patient, empathetic, and resilient approach
* Ability to work effectively as part of a team

Desirable
* Experience supporting pupils with Autism (ASD)
* Knowledge of safeguarding and child protection procedures
* Relevant qualifications in education, childcare, or health & social care
