The Trade and Transaction Reporting IT Team (T&TR) is an IT engineering organisation that supports and maintains a portfolio of shared services within MSS. This role sits within the Regulatory Reporting & Controls Platform (RRCP), a T&TR team who maintain and enhance a suite of Java based services to facilitate trade reporting in a timely manner to our Regulators. The service is primarily built to enable the reporting of GB&M trade information to external regulatory bodies. Jurisdiction scope (ESMA, FCA, MAS, ASIC, JFSA, etc) will change over time depending on business priorities such as the implementation of a new mandatory regulatory specification. In this role you will: Work with a team of engineers and collaborate with colleagues globally. Responsible for the software development lifecycle of the changes you implement. Remediation – working to tight deadlines to turn around small incremental fixes quickly and safely. Maintain code base (defects, vulnerabilities, enhancements, etc) Assist Operations with remediation efforts through tooling and building upon existing capabilities. Liaise with Asset Class IT teams to improve the quality of the input data and protect the T&TR solution from absorbing workarounds/complexity. Working within a POD with a defined charter Requirements To be successful in this role you should meet the following requirements: • Experience in Java development • Knowledge of Devops Tools (GitHub, Jenkins, Jira, Confluence) • Experience of Cloud computing, services on a cloud (ideally GCP) • Degree in Computer Science or related discipline (desired) • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills This role is based in Sheffield and offers hybrid working.
