About the role:
1. Meet individuals to discuss their personal goals regarding their recovery and encourage individuals to engage with substance use treatment
2. Support with covering duty, reception and group work
3. Create links with stakeholders and local communities and work to target people affected by drugs and alcohol who are hard to reach – those who are at risk of being recalled to prison, those isolated in communities, unaware of services, or who do not feel services are for them
4. Attend team meetings/group supervision with the aim of sharing good practice and finding solutions
5. Utilise existing local resources and build local community awareness, signposting to relevant agencies
6. Provide personalised recovery coaching to individiuals
About you:
7. Lived experience of drug or/and alcohol use
8. Excellent written and verbal communication skills along with good IT skills
9. Be able to build relationships with individuals with multiple needs, whilst remaining empathetic and non-judgemental toward Service Users
10. Confident in working alone as well as part of a team
11. Can remain calm under pressure
12. Able to travel as required, including where public transport is not available
