An exciting opportunity to join our Supplier Management and Procurement team located in Frimley, United Kingdom. This team supports multiple Boeing Global Services - Commercial (BGS-C) businesses in Maintenance, Repairs, and Overhauls in a fast-paced global environment. The ideal candidate will possess in-depth knowledge and experience in all aspects of our Supply Chain including our policies and procedures as well as the systems and tools which we utilize to execute procurements on behalf of our customers. This candidate will also be responsible to support development and expansion of an agile and responsive supply base with rapid response lead times required to support the BGS business in a competitive and global market place. You will need strong business acumen, communication and problem-solving skills to build and enhance relationships with internal stakeholders and key external suppliers. Hybrid working is available for this position.
This position acts as an authorized agent of the company with responsibility to support procurement activities for aftermarket Goods and Services for Boeing Global Services (BGS) Commercial Modifications.
Boeing Global Services (BGS) is seeking a Buyer Furnished Equipment (BFE) Support Agent to join the Supplier Management team. The successful candidate will support procurement activities for aftermarket goods and services in a fast-paced environment while learning new skills, solving challenging problems, and experiencing opportunities to grow in the Supply Chain organization.
Position Responsibilities:
1. Integration with program, customer, product and in-service strategies into source selection, negotiation and contracting strategies
2. Negotiates pricing and contract terms and conditions
3. Supports execution of negotiated contractual documents and binding agreements
4. Provides support of risk, issues and opportunities management
5. Provides support for development and execution of Quality and Delivery Improvement Plans.
6. Supporting supplier performance and relationship to ensure delivery, quality, financial stability and in-service performance. Mitigates risks and issues
7. Communicates supplier and organization performance plan risks, issues and opportunities to stakeholders and support executive level meetings
8. Supports supplier follow up activities in relation to demand, schedules, supplier quality, delivery and performance to schedule
9. Provides support for supplier improvement activities/strategies
10. Represents SM in meetings such as Program Reviews, ITCM, PDR, CDR, FAI, Proposal Boards and other meetings
11. Provides support to Program Management and other key stakeholders for managing/reporting of supplier performance
12. Participates development and execution of company strategic business goals and objectives, procurement and supply chain solutions, strategies and policies to support customer requirements
13. Ensures compliance with Boeing procedures and regulatory requirements as applicable
14. Attending Integrated Project Team meetings
Required Skills/Experience:
15. Knowledge of supply chain processes as well as ability to engage with all stakeholders.
16. Must possess skills in problem solving, verbal and written communication
17. Ability to perform work with minimal direction and exercises considerable latitude in determining objectives and approaches to assignment
18. Experience in Microsoft Office applications (Excel, PowerPoint, Word, Outlook etc.)
Desired Experience:
19. Experience working in a collaborative environment
20. Experience working with Supplier Management, Supply Chain, and processes in a dynamic environment.
21. Previous experience working in aviation/aerospace company
22. Knowledge of aircraft modifications/conversions
23. Experience with Smartsheet
Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):
24. Bachelor's degree or higher in Supply Chain, or related.
