We have recently added another school building to the site and require an experienced premises manager to manage both sites.\n\nBright Minds Creative Academy is an independent specialist day school providing high-quality education for boys and girls. Based in Croydon, the school meets the diverse needs of pupils aged 11-16 with Social, Emotional, and Mental Health (SEMH) needs including ADHD and Autism.\n\nBright Minds Creative Academy supports the provision of up to 50 pupils across two sites for secondary-aged pupils. We support our students with the familiarity, predictability, structure and boundaries that they need to be successful in life.\n\nOur specialist independent schools offer unrivalled opportunities, securing sound educational outcomes with personalised, inclusive, and stimulating programmes of learning.We provide education and support to children and young people who have complex special educational needs and require their SEN provision to be delivered in a specialist setting.\n\nRole will be an initial 3-6 month placement with possibility of going permanent on completion of probation period.\n\nPROFILE:\n\nResponsibility for managing the school sites and vehicles.
Completing maintenance tasks, carrying out compliance checks, ensuring a safe, clean and well-maintained site at all times.\n\nUtilising established handyman/maintenance skills, for both internal and external works.\nHealth & Safety awareness, and safe working.\nManage contractors while on site.\nOpen and shut site each day.\nComplete administrative tasks, via paperwork and electronically.\nManage the cleaning staff and ensure site is clean and tidy at all times.\nCompleting compliance checks and managing external contractors completing compliance works, including fire, legionella (water), asbestos and gas/electrical.\nGood computer skills, can use basic email, word and excel.\nFit and able to lift and move items relevant to the role.\nTo work both inside and outside whenever needed.\nAlways give a high level of customer service.\nSupervise external contractors when needed.\nShow responsibility for a high level or finish to all works undertaken.\nRead and understand risk assessments and method statements, safe systems of work.\nEnsure tools and parts used are of the required standard for use.\nMaintain and regularly clean vehicles.\nBe prepared to work irregular hours if required to complete urgent tasks.\nAny other duties relevant to the post as requested by the Head of School.\n\nWhy work for us?\n\nOpportunity to progress in your career through our Education Academy, and ongoing training and professional development.\nComprehensive and tailored induction programme including face-to-face training, online modules, shadowing and local induction period.\nFace-to-face therapeutic training and support for all colleagues via our SHINE programme.\nAccess to a wide range of free online courses for all colleagues on a variety of topics.\nFree DBS check and Update Service subscription\nColleague referral scheme with cash rewards – earn up to £500 per referral.Government pension scheme.\nEmployee assistance programme – free, confidential support via Bupa.\nCommunity and wellbeing-Your wellbeing matters to us, and we are committed to ensuring you get all the support you need to feel good about what you do.
