Our Client, an Engineering company, is seeking an Instrument Technician for a permanent position in the St. Helens location. This role is placed within Oil & Gas, chemical & petrochemical, nuclear, pharmaceuticals & biopharma, power & energy, utilities, and renewables markets.
This is a permanent opportunity based on site in St Helens.
Role
As a Control Panel Test Engineer, you will carry out Inspection, Testing, and Commissioning of Electrical and Instrumentation panels/systems in-house and on-site.
Responsibilities
As a Control Panel Test Engineer, you will be responsible for:
1. Carrying out Inspection, Testing, and Commissioning of Electrical and Instrumentation panels/systems in-house and on-site as required.
2. Ensuring all work is completed to specification and deadlines.
3. Liaising with the customer on-site to ensure completion of the works.
4. Assisting in the building and wiring of control panels when required.
5. Attending sites to complete modifications to existing/new panels when required.
Qualifications
* Experience of testing industrial control panels, on-site installation work, commissioning of systems, instrumentation, and control panel wiring.
* Knowledge and understanding of 3-phase systems, MCC control panels, PLC systems, and schematic drawings.
* Time-served electrician/Instrument Technician.
* Small bore pipe pressure testing.
You will need:
* City & Guilds- 2391 Test & Inspection.
* City & Guilds 2382 18th Edition.
