Salary: £49,803.29 - £58,613.29 (pro-rata 0.5FTE) per annum

About The Department

Our MA programme in International Studies and Diplomacy is widely recognised for its distinctive approach to policy-oriented postgraduate training, with a global focus that also covers the role of the US, Europe, and multilateral institutions in partnership with emerging powers. About The Role

The Department of Politics and International Studies is pleased to invite applications for a part-time fixed-term Lecturer (Assistant Professor) post focused on Domestic Politics in China (0.5 FTE Teaching 2025-26).

The appointee will strengthen and work with the Department’s active group of East Asia-focused scholars, contributing to the Department’s undergraduate and postgraduate degrees as well as our online and Executive Education programmes.

Specifically, the role holder will convene and teach both general and specialist modules (individually and with others), advise both undergraduate and postgraduate dissertations, and provide pastoral care for students. The role holder will also be expected to work in a collegial and collaborative manner with both academic and non-academic staff across the Department and the School.
