Overview
Ridgeway Primary Academy (part of Primitas Learning Partnership) is a successful 2 form entry primary school in Chasetown with a reputation for a lively and creative environment. The school received a Good rating from Ofsted in December 2024 and Sunny Days in July 2024. Ridgeway is one of the founding schools in the Primitas Learning Partnership, a cross phase MAT serving the local area which opened in September 2021. The Trust provides opportunities for the schools to work collaboratively to support school improvement.
Ridgeway Primary Academy is seeking to appoint an Early Years Practitioner/Nursery Nurse to work within our Sunny Days Nursery. The Nursery provides full day care for children aged six weeks to five years, from 7:00 am to 6:00 pm, open all year (except bank holidays and a week between Christmas and New Year).
Responsibilities
* To provide the highest levels of care and education for all children attending the settings.
* Contribute to a high standard of quality within the nursery, including practice, environment and resources to meet the requirements of the Early Years Foundation Stage
* Undertake the role of key person
* Supervise and support children at all times and ensure that all children are kept safe
* Work as part of a team to ensure the Primitas values are maintained
* Maintain a positive attitude at all times with children, parents, colleagues and visitors
* Develop and maintain professional working relationships with colleagues, parents and carers
Qualifications and Experience
* Has a positive attitude and creative ideas that inspire children to learn
* Is passionate about providing high standards of care and education to meet the individual needs of our children
* Takes pride in maintaining positive working partnerships with colleagues, parents and carers
* Has good verbal and written communication skills
* Has a commitment to continuing professional development
* Holds an NVQ Level 2 or Level 3 in Childcare
* Has experience of working with children in an EYFS setting, either in paid employment or through placements (desirable but not essential)
