Typically, this person will be a skilled operative responsible for the fabrication, assembly and/or installation of ship components, dependent on their trade discipline. The role is critical in delivering high-quality products while maintaining strict safety, quality, and delivery standards.

Duties and responsibilities of the Pipe Fitter:
* Comply fully with all Safety, Health and Environmental (SHE) regulations and procedures
* Achieve team and project targets within agreed timescales
* Produce work to the required quality standards and specifications
* Assist supervisors with shop-floor and operational issues
* Ensure job completion dates are consistently met
Qualifications and requirements for the Pipe Fitter:
* Strong understanding of fabrication and installation drawings
* Clear awareness of SHE risks, quality standards, and work tolerances
* Good knowledge of the relevant trade discipline
* Excellent hand skills for fabrication and assembly tasks
* Ability to work effectively as part of a team, with good verbal communication skills
* Reliable and professional approach to work
* Time-served apprenticeship or relevant engineering qualification (NVQ/City & Guilds/ Scottish Higher)
* Safety certifications such as SHE induction, COSHH awareness, Working at Height, or equivalent
