Bank Waking Night Support Worker Pay rate: £14.00 per hour Shift Pattern: Bank Waking Nights - Monday - Sunday - 22:00pm - 8:00am We've got a rewarding opportunity for the right person to work with an individual living in their family home in Wainfleetwith their Mum, Dad, 2 brothers and 2 family dogs. This person has Spinal Muscular Atrophy but this does not define them. This individual enjoys playing video games such as Roblox and Fortnite, so a shared interest in gaming is essential.A valid drivers license and access to a vehicle are required if you may struggle with transport or travel times. Enriching activities will be an important factor in your support, and you will bring a wonderfully empathetic approach to truly make a difference to this persons life. You will also need the following: Strong written and verbal communication skills Knowledge and interest in Gaming (Video Games) Previous healthcare experience What will your shift involve? The role involves providing attentive 1:1 overnight care and support. On arrival, the individual will typically be asleep, and duties will focus on monitoring their wellbeing throughout the night. Responsibilities include regular repositioning, checking and changing continence pads, and providing respiratory support as required (including cough assist, oxygen therapy, and suctioning). Morning duties include supporting the individual with personal care and hygiene, preparing them for school, and making their packed lunch. The role also involves full continence support and maintaining high standards of hygiene at all times. The individual is fully dependent on hoisting equipment for all transfers, so safe and confident use of hoists is essential.
