Clinical Research Team Lead
We are looking for an experienced, organised and enthusiastic Allied Health Professional, Nurse, or Clinical Research Practitioner to serve as a full‑time Senior (Band 7) Clinical Research Team Lead within Berkshire Healthcare NHS Foundation Trust’s Research and Development Team.
Responsibilities
* Lead a team of Clinical Research Practitioners and Research Nurses to deliver interventional and non‑interventional studies, including commercial clinical trials of investigational medicinal products.
* Oversee the planning, development and implementation of the Clinical Research portfolio that reflects the patient population and local clinical services.
* Provide expert advice, care and support to patients entering clinical research and trials.
* Support the integration of Research into clinical services through the successful delivery of clinical research as a core offering.
* Act as a professional role model, providing clinical care and teaching to colleagues, research participants and patients across the Trust.
* Develop and manage a portfolio of studies, working closely with specialty areas, divisions and organisations.
* Work under the overall direction of the Lead Research Nurse, R&D Operations Manager and Head of Research and Development.
Qualifications
* Proven leadership skills in overseeing the delivery of clinical research as a Clinical Research Practitioner or Research Nurse.
* Extensive experience in clinical trial delivery, including commercial clinical trials of investigational medicinal products.
* Senior level (Band 7) experience within the NHS, preferably with at least two years of continuous NHS experience.
Work Pattern
Mon‑Fri 09:00‑17:00, with some flexibility required. The role is fixed‑term for one year; applicants with continuous NHS experience of more than two years will be offered a permanent role.
