As a Depot Manager at our Leeds branch for the Survey & Laser Division, you will be responsible for all operational and strategic matters at your depot. At the front of house, you will manage the hire desk staff to ensure that customer enquiries are handled efficiently, enabling maximum conversion into hire and sales transactions. At the back of house, you will manage the workshop staff to ensure the fast and safe turnaround of equipment.
Leading from the front, you will enable and encourage your team to adhere to the H&S and quality standards that both you and Boels have set. You will keep an eye on the P&L revenues and targets to ensure that your depot performs at peak ability. You will constantly seek new and resourceful ways to improve your depot’s efficiency and productivity. The customer is key. While you will focus on retaining existing customers, you will also keep an eye on the competition and new opportunities and revenues you can acquire. You will accurately complete the necessary weekly, monthly or quarterly administration required for the Leeds depot.
Your working hours will be Monday to Friday, 07:30 to 17:00.

Your Profile
* Proven ability to lead and inspire your team, and strong understanding of the plant/tool hire or construction/civils industries.
* Minimum of 3 years plant/tool hire industry experience (ESSENTIAL).
* Experience as a Depot Manager within plant/tool hire, or an Assistant Depot Manager looking for promotion (ESSENTIAL).
* Valid proof of right to work in the UK (Boels does not arrange relocation or visa sponsorship).
* Goal and results‑driven mindset focused on customer experience and revenue maximisation.
* Commercial astuteness with logical and strategic planning ability.
* Organisational skills to keep depot administration in ship‑shape.
