Pay and Hours
Our Tesco colleague rate of pay starts from £13.28 an hour; this increases to £14.55 for stores within the M25. Additional payments may also apply depending on location.
We offer a minimum of 16 guaranteed hours per week, and also support 12‑hour shifts where available.
This is a committed role with full responsibility for serving our shoppers and meeting daily operational challenges.
Responsibilities
- Help to serve shoppers better every day.

- Provide passionate, knowledgeable service and build rapport with customers.
- Work across the store in service, picking and replenishment areas.
- Apply training to work safely, effectively and serve customers brilliantly.
- Make decisions that are right for customers, delivering routines that meet needs at the right time.
- Take part in seasonal, community and charity events, creating a great inclusive atmosphere.
- Understand store performance and drive service, sales, reduce waste and shrink, and deliver profit.
- Handle products with care to maintain quality and ensure customers receive them in best condition.
- Accept deliveries into the store when required.
- Be the brand ambassador, arrive on time, well presented, and follow policies.

Please note: Candidates must be over 18 years old. The role requires working before 6:15 am or after 9:45 pm in certain areas. We can only recruit individuals who have passed the school leaver's age. Applicants under 18 are not considered.
