Job Title: Head of Residential Property
Contract Type: Permanent or Part Time
Hours: 9:00 AM – 5:00 PM
We are seeking a proactive Head of Residential Property to oversee our Residential Property department. This pivotal role requires a strong leader who can effectively manage a team while ensuring the highest standards of efficiency. We expect the successful candidates to be specialists in Residential Property Law and confident dealing with all the legal matters surrounding the buying and selling of property, advising clients on all aspects of the buying and selling process, including legal issues, finances, and contracts.
Role Responsibilities
* Fully qualified Solicitor, CILEX or Licensed Conveyancer
* Minimum 4 years’ experience working within a busy residential conveyancing team as an established Fee Earner
* Ability to work to a high standard with fine attention to detail; organized and efficient under pressure
* Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
* High standards of client care with a professional and pleasant manner
* Strong business development skills with contacts in the property sector in their local area
* Strong understanding of legal technology and its integration into a Property Department
* Interest in supporting and developing junior staff members
* Involvement in the development of the firm's culture
* Excellent IT skills to work in an innovative and forward-thinking law firm
Qualifications
* Experience working in a Residential Property department (required)
* Managerial/Supervision experience of a department is an advantage
* Proficiency in using case management software is highly desirable
* Ability to demonstrate strong leadership capabilities
* Minimum of 4 years+ PQE (Post Qualification Experience)
* Property Law Advice: minimum of 5 years (required)
