Role Overview:
As a Recycling Operative, you will be a key member of the team, responsible for sorting and processing recyclable materials in an efficient and environmentally-friendly manner. You will play an essential role in ensuring that materials are sorted accurately and safely, contributing to the company's sustainability goals and supporting a clean and organised working environment.
Key Responsibilities:
* Sort and process recyclable materials in line with company guidelines.
* Ensure all recyclable items are stored and disposed of correctly.
* Maintain a clean and organised recycling area.
* Assist with loading and unloading of recyclable materials.
* Adhere to health and safety regulations to ensure a safe working environment.
* Perform routine checks to ensure equipment is working properly.
* Collaborate with the team to meet recycling targets.
* Support with general recycling duties as required.
Requirements:
* Previous experience in a recycling or warehouse environment is preferred.
* Ability to work in a physically demanding and fast-paced environment.
* Strong attention to detail with a focus on accuracy.
* Good communication skills and ability to follow instructions
* Flexibility and reliability with a positive attitude.
* A proactive approach to work and willingness to learn.
* Be able to drive to the location.
