Vectis Auctions, part of the Hambleton Group, is the world's largest toy auctioneer. As we continue to grow, we're looking for a detail-oriented and proactive Picking Assistant to join our warehouse team.
Role Overview
This role involves preparing auction lots for customer viewing and dispatch. You'll be responsible for identifying, logging, and organising stock efficiently to ensure smooth operations.
Key Responsibilities
* Picking items accurately for customer orders
* Laying out lots for customer viewing
* Organising stock on shelves to maximise warehouse space
* Receiving goods and logging them correctly
* Supporting pre-auction setup and post-auction processes
* Maintaining a clean and safe working environment
* Representing the company professionally to customers and the public
* Occasional attendance at trade events (overnight stays may be required)
* General warehouse duties to meet business needs
Essential Skills & Attributes
* Excellent attention to detail
* Strong organisational skills
* Comfortable with manual handling and working on your feet
* Reliable and motivated team player
* Full and valid UK driving licence
Desirable
* Experience in a warehouse or picking environment
* Basic computer literacy
