Job Overview
In this role, you will be involved in all aspects of Cost & Project Management business requirements.
This encompasses a wide variety of projects ranging from extensions for small contractors through to large civils projects, high-value buildings to specialist energy contractors and more.
The successful candidate will also be responsible for:
* Managing costs on a diverse range of projects
* Providing strategic guidance to clients including prioritising spending, outsourcing to subcontractors
* Preparing budgets and estimates and managing onsite costs
* Conducting costs analysis for repair and maintenance project work
* Performing risk and value management and cost control
* Advising on procurement strategy
What We're Looking For
We are seeking a Senior Quantity Surveyor with a civil engineering background who has worked on a variety of infrastructure schemes.
Requirements
To be considered for this role, you should possess the following skills and qualifications:
* Strong planning and time management skills
* A good understanding of civils and construction ideally with pipeline experience
* Knowledge of NEC3 and 4
* Excellent problem-solving skills with construction knowledge
* Proficiency in IT skills particularly Microsoft packages including Excel and Project
* The ability to work under pressure to achieve deadlines
