Relationship Director Role
As a Relationship Director, you’ll be at the forefront of the business’s growth, sourcing, structuring, and delivering property‑backed lending opportunities. You’ll leverage your existing broker and developer network while building new, long‑term partnerships across the market.
You’ll have the autonomy to originate, negotiate, and execute your own deals, backed by a highly experienced credit and operations team who share your drive for speed and service excellence.
Key Responsibilities
* Source new lending opportunities through brokers, developers, and professional intermediaries.
* Build, manage, and expand relationships with key introducers to maintain a healthy deal pipeline.
* Represent the business at industry events and networking forums to raise profile and source opportunities.
* Assess lending proposals and structure bespoke loan terms in collaboration with underwriting and credit teams.
* Evaluate asset values, borrower profiles, security packages, and exit strategies.
* Drive deals from initial enquiry through to completion, ensuring clarity, compliance, and client satisfaction.
* Identify opportunities for new products, partnerships, or market segments.
* Provide feedback to leadership to inform strategic decision‑making and lending appetite.
Skills & Experience Required
* Experience within Development Finance Relationship management, Loan Origination or similar Development Finance roles
* Proven track record of closing high‑value, property‑backed transactions.
* A strong network of brokers, developers, and intermediaries within the UK market.
* Solid understanding of lending structures, underwriting principles, and property valuation.
* Confident communicator and negotiator with a consultative, relationship‑driven approach.
* Entrepreneurial mindset, able to work autonomously while contributing to a collaborative team culture.
