What you’ll be getting stuck into as a Building Surveyor
Delivering building, condition and defect surveys across primary, secondary and academy school sites
Preparing drawings, specifications, schedules of work and tender documentation with senior guidance
Supporting and progressing contract administration, site inspections and progress meetings
Managing elements of budgets, programmes and quality to ensure safe delivery with minimal disruption
Maintaining accurate project records and contributing to funding or bid documentation
Building strong working relationships with school leaders, site teams and external consultants
What you’ll bring to the table as a Building Surveyor
A degree or equivalent qualification in building surveying or a related construction discipline, or strong relevant experience
Previous experience working on surveying, maintenance or capital works projects, ideally in occupied buildings
Working knowledge or strong interest in building regulations, compliance and pathology
Clear written and verbal communication skills suited to client-facing environments
A full UK driving licence, willingness to travel regionally and eligibility for an enhanced DBS check
Working hours: Full time, flexible working with a mix of home-based work, site visits and office meetings as required.
