About Us

We are looking for a dynamic, aspirational and talented Deputy Headteacher to join our team. We are a school that is growing quickly and has a strong reputation in the local community. Our students have a diagnosis of autism or speech and language difficulties and caters for young people from KS2 to KS5. With a solid understanding of teaching and learning for pupils moderate learning needs, you will help drive the school forward and support our ambition to transform the lives of our pupils and

their families through the power of learning.

Job description and person specification summary

At Eagle Park School we are seeking to appoint an experienced school senior leader to join our school.

The successful candidate will:

Qualified Teacher Status

Proven senior Leadership experience in SEN all age school

Exemplary classroom practitioner

Relevant experience of working with children with Autism and SLCN

The ability to maintain good behaviour and discipline to support children’s learning and social

development.

Demonstrate evidence informed understanding of child development and how children learn.

The ability to drive a culture with high levels of staff professionalism and performance whilst

effectively challenging underperformance.

The ability to deploy staff effectively and actively manage staff workload

The successful candidate will have the following key skills, experience, and qualifications:

Required:

*

Qualified teacher status (QTS) with relevant teaching experience

*

A sound understanding of Part four of the DfE’s Keeping Children Safe in Education

*

guidance, the SEND Code of Practice

*

Proven strong leadership and management skills

*

Proven ability to inspire and lead a team of educators toward achieving excellence

*

Excellent communication skills to foster collaboration within the school and wider community management skills

Desired:

Knowledge of CPOMS and Evidence for Learning

*

Able to take both a strategic overview and hands-on approach, managing multiple levels of demand from multiple sources

*

Strong understanding of curriculum development, assessment strategies, and data analysis

*

A commitment to developing all staff through effective coaching, continuous professional development, and empowerment

*

Have a strategic, proactive, and problem-solving approach

*

Excellent organisational skills and attention to detail, an ability to manage multiple tasks effectively

*

Flexibility and resilience with the ability to work under pressure with high volumes of work

*

Have a proactive ‘can do’ attitude with the ability to come up with solutions to problems

*

A genuine desire to involve yourself fully in the life of our school and to work as part of our forward-thinking team of professionals
